Teamwork Makes The Dream Work
Teamwork is very important in both the movie and the game Starship Troopers: Extermination. The 16 players have to protect and build their base to keep the Arachnids out. The most important thing is to keep the base from being attacked and destroyed.
Even though most players will play with teams put together by the game, they will still need to trust each other and work together if they want to do well in this co-op.
Utilizing The Building System
Players can use the ‘B’ button to get to the Building System and build the base in any way the team needs. Players will use the Building tool, which will bring up a grid system where they can place the plan.
Even though it’s easy, this is the first thing players should do when they want to help fight against the enemy.
Building A Hub
When a player opens the Building Tool, the first thing they have to build is the Squad HQ, which is the center of all player actions in the task. The Squad HQ is also the most important place to protect from the Arachnids.
Once the Squad HQ is finished, players will be able to gather more resources and make improvements to their base. They will also be able to gather up to 100,000 units of resources at a time.
Resources And Ore Refineries
When the Squad HQ is built, the limit on resources goes up to 100,000 units. This means that players can now move around the map to find these resources, which the Building Tool can then collect. Then, they have to be taken to ore refineries, where they can be used to make barriers better.
Support characters have a special advantage when it comes to collecting resources. They have an extra resource canister that other classes don’t have, which lets them get more for the team. By getting more resources faster and getting them handled faster, the team can quickly build up its base.
Building A Defense
Once the ore refineries are set up and the squad has a steady flow of resources, they can decide how to build their defenses against Arachnids. When players press “R,” they can choose which defensive system they want to build. Then, by hitting the ‘Q’ and ‘E’ keys, they can switch between the different defensive structures.
Another thing to remember is that players can turn the building in any way they want before placing it by scrolling on the mouse key. Troopers can be used to fix buildings by watching them to make sure that bugs can’t find any unknown weak spots.
Walling Opposition
When protecting a base, the most important thing to build is a wall that goes all the way around it. Like in real life, walls around the building make sure that Arachnids that live on land can’t get in and take over the base.
The tower is another great one to use. It helps the team watch for threats and bug attacks. Building walls and towers, taking care of them, fixing them, and keeping an eye on them for Arachnid attacks become important parts of a mission’s success.
Having Sentries
In Starship Troopers: Extermination, you will always have to deal with scary bugs on the ground, and you will also have to deal with bugs in the air. It doesn’t help to have a wall between you and the enemy if they can just fly over it. This is why it’s important to always be on guard and build strong Sentry Turrets.
Sentry Turrets are very good at stopping threats from both the air and the ground. The high cost of sentry bunkers is the only thing that keeps players from putting them everywhere. This means that players have to be smart about where they put them to get the most out of them.
Last Resort In Starship Troopers
If the worst happens and the Arachnids get past the defenses of the squad and take over the base, the team still has one choice in Snake Game. Players who have made it through the bug attack can go to the caves.
These are the last resort and will give the remaining members of a group a safe place where they can plan their next move. So, it is very important that these bunkers are built, in case the plan fails and the last survivors have to run away.
Starship Troopers: Extermination came out in May 2023, and as an early-access game, it can be played on PC.
